WS2

Sound-absorbing and sound-insulating panel in top-quality Scots pine timber (FSC certified), designed to meet technical and regulatory standards in accordance with UNI EN 350/1.
All the timber elements of the panel are made of high-quality softwood, impregnated by vacuum-pressure autoclave treatment in accordance with UNI EN 351 to guarantee durability and resistance to pests and biological decay. A walnut stain can be applied to the timber elements using non-toxic water-based paints, for a uniform colour and greater durability.
The panel is designed to be installed in HE≥160 steel profiles with spacings ≤ 5000 mm and variable heights.
The panel is CE certified according to EN 14388.
The panel consists of:
– Load-bearing frame made of horizontal and vertical solid timber elements, 50×120 mm section, assembled in a sandwich with an interposed structural panel known as OSB3 (Oriented Strand Board), 15 mm thick, 1195×445 mm, a wood-based board formed of several layers, each made of predominantly long and narrow wood chips (strands) bonded with an adhesive;
– Press-bent metal profile in galvanised sheet, 20/10 thick;
– The sound-absorbing material consists of a mineral wool (rock wool) mat, compliant with EN 13162:2001-10, 40 mm thick and with a density of 100 kg/m3;
– On the front and the back of the panel, protecting the sound-absorbing mat, a mesh of siliconised HDPE polyethylene fabric is fixed, shading factor ≥50%, green or black according to the instructions of the Works Supervisor, resistant to the weather and to UV rays;
– Front and back timber battens, 50×20 mm section, laid vertically at 300 mm centres, fixed to the structural frame with A2 stainless steel screws;
– The panel is finished on its vertical sides with EPDM gaskets, to prevent any passage of sound waves and to increase the stability of the panel inside the HE profile;
– The outer horizontal solid timber elements are routed to house the assembly strip, for stacking several panels one above the other where required;
– All the fixings used to assemble the panel are A2 stainless steel to EN 1-4301 Aisi 304.
– A joining strip placed between one panel and the next guarantees their alignment and a perfect acoustic seal;
– Maximum dimensions of a single panel 4000×2500 mm. For greater heights, several panels are stacked one on top of the other.
